Borgo San Salvario Borgo San Salvario Torino, Via Pio V

The quarter goes from Porta Nuova railway station on via Po’s way. It’s known for his multicultural and multiethnic soul. As you can realise walking through this area, you can find a synagogue, a Waldesian temple, a mosque and four churches. The suburb was planned between 1846 and 1854, here there’s San Salvatore church and royal residence Valentino. There’s also a magnificent building projected by Carlo Primis in 1852, you can find it in Vittorio Emanuele II and strada di Nizza crossroad.
Despite an industrial and working class settlement, the district boasts an uniform population range, distributed in some of the quarter activities parceled between piazza Madama Cristina and corso Dante’s “Docks”.
