Feniarco is the Italian national choral association and organises lot of musical events. It is also a music publishing house, aimed to increase choral repertoires circulation and give new voice to composers and little known young authors.
In this occasion we would like to present two fresh volumes, hot off the press: Giro giro canto 4, a collection of choral songs for children and kids and Melos 3, new choral compositions. Sandro Bergamo, editor-in-chief of the magazine Choraliter, will tell us Feniarco editorial experience and its function inside the choral music panorama.
After this, a short performance with pieces coming from series Giro giro canto, sung by Voci Bianche del Coropò, conducted by Maria Silvia Merlini.
An atelier open to everybody dedicated to those who have no musical knowledge. With Alessandro Cadario, eclectic conductor of choir and orchestra and also director in two ateliers at the Festival Europa Cantat, you are going to be involved to an improvised choir, better if you have no choral experience, you'll be lead through the exiting experience of hearing your own voice in an harmonic ensemble. You will see the building, literary, of a music you'll feel to belong.
So, you will sing feeling yourself a “voice in a choir”
...waiting for the Festival Europa Cantat XVIII Torino 2012!
A very special and interesting way to interpret a classic concert: a choir improves his study and rehearses a new piece in front of the public.
It is an occasion to meet and discuss with artists, ready to answer to some questions from listeners and very pleased to talk with those who want to know better different aspects of repertoires and choral world.
The choir involved is theCorale Polifonica di Sommariva Bosco, conducted by Adriano Popolani.
The most important European choral festival is getting in Torino from July 27th from August 5th: it is the Festival Europa Cantat XVIII Torino 2012. A meeting of different cultures and music reveals the multiplicity harmony of singing together in a choir.
Together with Ottetto Vocale Cantus Firmus di Mondovì (Cn) and with the presence of Carlo Pavese, the festival artistic manager, we will discover the pleasure of listening choral music, and the public will be involved in an open singing.

The Festival Europa Cantat XVIII Torino 2012 is pleased to present the project "Waiting for Europa Cantat with schools" that will involve school realities of Torino offering them a one-day mini-festival, modelled on the structure and spirit of the summer appointment.
The initiative, first conceived as a one day event, has collected more participation than the most optimistic expectations, therefore the program offers two more dates to allow all those who have requested it, to take part in the project.
The structure of the two days is the following:
Wednesday the 6th and Thursday the 7th of June, 2012, at the Sermig (Piazza Borgo Dora, 61 - 10152 Torino).
Time: 9.30 am to 3.30 pm
In the morning there will be a music workshop proposed by Europa Cantat, held by Roberta Paraninfo. After a quick lunch, the afternoon will be dedicated to short musical concert presentations of the work done by each class during the year. The performances will be directed solely to the participating classes, in the view of a mutual exchange, without the presence of an external audience. Each school will have a space that can freely set up to perform at their best.
Six Schools are taking part in the project with enthusiasm, for a total of 400 students:
• Primary School G. Vidari
• Primary School G.Cena
• First Grade Secondary School C. Nigra
• Primary School C. Casalegno
• Primary School I. Alpi – Plesso Perotta
• Primary School I.C. Salvemini
The project leaders are Eleonora Roba and Francesca Sartorio
