Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Beati mortui, Periti autem
Franz Biebl Ave Maria (Angelus Domini)
Atelier with performance
The pleasure of singing is the aim of the atelier. Songs with movements, songs to sing sitting on chair…
Singing in several voices, singing with children an adults together, easy parts for those who don’t have much experience in choir singing, other parts for those who are used to sing.
Concepts and examples of alea and vocal improvisation will be presented with vocal patterns that contain melodic and rhythmic basic elements, simple harmonic and melodic structure for 2-4 voices, the use of some sound parameters: frequencies range, dynamics, agogics, spatialization, density etc., construction of sound clusters and prisms; introductory exercises to the gestural-chironomics technique.
Let’s surprise the people of Torino with a funky flash mob during the festival opening. If you have some karaoke experience, like to challenge your friends in SingStar on your PlayStation, or have spent some nights on the dance floor, you are the right singer for this discovery atelier.
We will discover one of the most important and international Catalan composers, Xavier Montsalvatge, whose 100 anniversary we celebrate this year. We will know some of his most interesting Choral compositions, like the Canciones Negras or his Pianto della Madonna.
Do you wish to prove how your voice can become "larger" without increasing the effort?... Or to learn how to visualize your vocal organ for obtaining better results?
This and other interesting experiences will be offered you by this meeting.
