G56 The Finnish Midsummer
This discovery atelier, singers will be introduced to some of the best-loved choral songs from the Finnish romantic period. Composers include Nils-ErikFoustedt, Leevi Madetoja and Selim Palmgren. The poems, in Finnish and Swedish,illustrate the nordic nature during summertime.
Dani Juris (FI)
He is a young conductor who has worked with, among others, the successful Kaamos Chamber Choir and the Lahti Opera Chorus. In 2009 he won the first prize at the International Competition for Young Choral Conductors in Ljubljana.
