He carried out his music studies in the Basque Country and completed the courses organised by this federation as well as different seminars in Spain and throughout Europe with conductors such as J. Duiyck and J. Busto to become the conductor he is today. In 2000 he founded the female choir Vocalia Taldea with which he has accomplished important prizes and acknowledgements in contests like Tolosa, Cork, Maasmechelen, Arezzo or Tours, having also participated in different festivals and choral meetings all around Europe. He works as a teacher in the Municipal Conservatory of Leioa, from where he intensely promotes choral singing for youngsters. His choral school, with more than 150 members, has grown around the children’s choir Leioa Kantika Korala, which has been internationally recognized on different occasions (Tolosa, Arezzo, Gorizia) and is considered as a reference in the actual choral scene. Part of the school is also the young women’s choir La Kantoria and the mixed youth choir San Juan Bautista Abesbatza. He has received awards for best conductor in Gorizia and Tours and as head of his choirs he has gone on tours through Spain, Europe and America and has released more than ten recordings. He frequently collaborates with different institutions and entities from all around the world giving courses and seminars on choral singing and as member of the jury.
