Anton Armstrong (US)

He conducts the St. Olaf Choir and is professor of music at St. Olaf College (Minnesota, USA). A graduate of St. Olaf College, he earned advanced degrees at the University of Illinois and Michigan State University. In June 1998, he began his tenure as founding conductor of the Oregon Bach Festival Stangeland Family Youth Choral Academy. Active nationally and internationally as a guest conductor and lecturer, he was honored in the summer of 2001, to conduct the World Youth Choir.
Recent international engagements include serving as a guest conductor at the Zymriya in Israel, in Taiwan and in the Czech Republic, and leading a conducting masterclass at the World Symposium on Choral Music in Argentina.
