During his education at the Conservatory of Enschede in The Netherlands, he already was conducting several choirs. At first classical music exclusively, but for almost seven years now he has dedicated himself to the vocal pop and jazz. He is frequently asked for workshops with choirs and sing-ins at festivals in The Netherlands.
Graduated in 2004 with a degree in Music Education and in 2006 with a degree in Piano, he started studying Conductor Vocal Light (conductor in vocal pop and jazz) in September 2009 with Tijs Krammer at the Conservatory of Alkmaar and succesfully graduated in May 2011.
Besides his education he attended masterclasses and lessons Vocal Arranging from Peder Karlsson (The Real Group, SE), Matthias Becker (VoKAL ToTal, DE), Anders Edenroth (The Real Group, SE), Jens Johansen (Vocal Line, DK) and Tijs Krammer (Montezuma’s Revenge, Vocalicious, NL). Rogier also attended lessons in conducting/rehearsing from Kees Stolwijk (Conservatory of Enschede, NL), Anders Edenroth, Peder Karlsson, Jens Johansen and Tijs Krammer.
