An enthusiastic and dedicated conductor and music teacher has been at Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser since 1971.
The Adolf Fredriks Musikklasser was founded in 1939 and it’s a choral school for children and youths from the age of 10 to 16 years old. Adolf Fredriks’ student body has 1100 students divided in 36 classes. Every class is a choir and the students receive between 5-7 music lessons weekly. The Adolf Fredriks’ School of Music is one of Stockholm’s largest concert institutions, performing publicly of 60 choral concerts. Bo founded the world famous girls-choir Adolf Fredriks Flickkör in 1971.
He is in great demand for participating in various choral performances as guest conductor and is a frequently requested speaker and panel judge. In 1986, together with E. Ericsson, he was awarded the distinction of Choir leader of the year and today he is awarded all prestigious prizes in Sweden. In 1999 Bo was inducted as a fellow of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music.
His interest in pedagogy has created pedagogic material for music teaching, a music dictionary for children and several choral collections. He is a much sought after conductor and lecturer in both Sweden and abroad. He has participated at the IFCM Symposium in Ljubliana, Sydney, Rotterdam, Vancouver and Copenhagen with the Adolf Fredriks Girlschoir. He is also very actively concerned with international co-operation on music for children’s choirs.
