Maud Hamon-Loisance (FR)

Her musical education began at a very early age. She grew up playing the recorder and the viola and discovered choral conducting while studying music at the University of Rennes. After receiving bachelor's degree in music and DEM (Diplòme des ètudes musìcales), she entered in September 2005 the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et danse of Lyon to study choral conducting with B. Têtu, N. Corti and J. Suhubiette. In June 2010 she obtained her master degree with distinction and the congratulations of the jury, highest acknowlegdement possible. In 2008 she spent half a year in Hochschule für Musik Hans Eisler in Berlin with J.P. Weigle. She has been a choir conductor during special events, invited to conduct the J.S. Bach's Matthaus Passion or the Sept paroles du Christ en croix by C. Franck in the Berlioz festival. She also lead ateliers during the International Youth Chamber Choir Meeting in Usedom 2010 (Germany) and Europa Cantat Junior 2011 (Estonia). She sings in the choir Britten (conducted by N. Corti) and is the artistic director of Epsilon, a vocal ensemble dedicated to the music of the 16th and 17th centuries.
