Recently founded, La Compagnia del Madrigale can be considered one of the most internationally accredited madrigalian groups. The founding members, Rossana Bertini, Giuseppe Maletto e Daniele Carnovich, who have a resume with a significant artistic relevance, have been working together for over 20 years.
With their experience and specialization in the madrigal field have actually contributed to take Il Concerto Italiano and La Venexiana at a high quality standards. They achieved prestigious awards such as Diapason d’or de l’année, Grammophone Award and Premio Cini and they performed in many of the most important ancient music festivals in Italy as well as Europe, the United States, Canada, Israel, Russia, Japan and Latin America.
In 2008 the group decided to found itself again with a new name and without the guide of a conductor, adding new elements: Nadia Ragni, Francesca Cassinari, Elena Carzaniga, Raffaele Giordani and Marco Scavazza. In 2011 they publish for Arcana a collection of madrigals on The Frenzy of Orlando and Primo Libro dei Madrigali a 5 voci by L. Marenzio, for which La Compagnia has been invited to the Festival in Ravenna and Utrecht. At the same time the group is carrying on an important collaboration with the Radio-Television of Italian Switzerland and with the prestigious instrumental group I Barocchisti.
