Born near Barcelona, he is one of the leading young Catalan conductors and works regularly with some of the most important choirs and orchestras of his country, like the Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música Catalana, the Orquestra y Coro Ciudad de Granada or the Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d’Andorra. He studied at the prestigious Escolania de Montserrat, at the Barcelona Conservatory and Universitat Autònoma and he got his degree on conducting with distinction at the Vienna Conservatory.
He has been chorus master of the Cape Town Opera Chorus, guest conductor of the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra (South Africa) and assistant conductor at the Gran Teatre del Liceu of Barcelona. He teaches at the ESMUC and at the Liceu Conservatory where he conducts its opera school, chamber choir and orchestra. He is also invited to conduct at the opera seasons of the Teatre Principal de Palma and Maó and he has recorded for the Austrian, South African, Spanish and Catalan Radio and for the label Columna Música.
