He studied piano, organ and choral music. He is the founder (1986) and artistic director of the School of music and the choir I Piccoli Musici with whom carried out an intense artistic activity made of concerts, recordings, in partnership with theatres, orchestras and conductors such as R. Chailly, R. Gandolfi, H. Rilling, G. Garrido, R. Barshai, C.P. Flor, J. Tate, W. Marshall, S. Mercurio, P. Schreier. He usually holds courses, conferences and national ateliers on children vocality directed to children’s choirs, conductors and teachers. He has been repeatedly awarded as best director in national and international contests. He’s frequently invited to join prestigious choral competitions as part of the jury and he’s a member of the Artistic Commission of Vittorio Veneto’s National Competition. He’s also professor and director of the children choir at the catholic school of music S. Cecilia in Brescia. During the year 2001 he was appointed Knight of the San Silvester Pope’s order by Pope Giovanni Paolo II for his educational and musical activities carried out with childhood. The Guido D’Arezzo Foundation awarded him with the lifetime achievement prize Guidoneum Award 2008.
