Director of choir, orchestra and self-taught musician, he completed his education with musicological studies. He has been awarded with a lot of prizes in important national and international choral contests. From 1989 to 1992 he was substitute director of the RAI’s chamber choir in Rome. He’s currently the artistic director of the professional vocal ensemble Ars Cantica Choir&Consort and he’s been conductor of the Vocal Quartet S.Tecla until June 2010. He’s also founded and currently directs the Chamber choir A. Vivaldi of Alessandria. He directed in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Arabian Emirates and Argentina. He was the guest director of the National Youth Choir of Argentina and the Opera Theatre’s Choir of Cordoba (Argentina). He works with the Opera Theatre’s Choir of Malaga, the choir of the Theatre de la Maestranza of Siviglia and the choir of the community of Madrid as a guest director. He edited the publication of vocal music for the publishing houses Suvini Zerboni, Carrara, Rugginenti, Discantica, BMM, Carisch. He’s regularly invited to join choral contests as a member of the jury and to hold bachelor’s courses in training and improvement (training courses and masterclasses) for singers and conductors in Italy and abroad. Since the year 2009 he’s the artistic director of the Choral Academy of Milan, a school of training and improvement for singers and choirs. He hold the Chair of Choral Exercises at the Conservatory A.Vivaldi in Alessandria.
